Steven Walczak

Steven Walczak is an Associate Professor of Information Science, specializing in Healthcare Information Science, in the School of Information at the University of South Florida. He also holds a faculty appointment with the Florida Center for Cybersecurity. Dr. Walczak’s research is primarily focused on the application of artificial intelligence research to solve difficult real-world problems, especially in the healthcare domain. He utilizes artificial neural networks, knowledge based systems, machine learning, cognitive modeling, and text analytics in his research. Dr. Walczak also conducts research in health information systems, electronic commerce, and knowledge management. He has well over 100 published peer-reviewed journal articles, peer-review conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed book chapters. Dr. Walczak is currently the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, former Editor-in-Chief of The Learning Organization, and Associate Editor for the International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems and Informatics, as well as serving on the editorial boards of 4 other journals.
