Abstract

The management of organizational knowledge has become an issue of immense strategic and economic importance. There are many types of organizational knowledge including administrative, professional, structural and relationship knowledge . Here, we will mostly confine ourselves to the issue of professional knowledge (PK) which we define as the knowledge required to perform a professional task such as auditing a company, designing a shock absorber or preparing a contract . Despite its importance, our understanding of this knowledge is very vague .
