Abstract

This paper describes a newly developed web-based education platform, called PILOT (Promoting Interactive Learning in an Online environmenT), which emphasizes teaching material synchronizing, sharing and reusing. The simple mix and match function of the platform has transformed various learning materials from one-to-one relationship to many-to-many relationship. The rationale for creating such a platform is to enable our student teachers to experience the unique features of different platforms and to create learning material to promote active and multi-sensory learning for children at primary schools. Student teachers who were taught by the authors were asked to give feedback on the platform. Although the feedback was very encouraging, not many of them used it for their assignments. Reflections and future directions conclude the paper.
