Elizabeth M. Borycki

Elizabeth Borycki teaches health information science at the School of Health Information Science at the University of Victoria. She has a unique blend of industry, consulting and academic experience. She has worked on the implementation of electronic health record systems in major hospital settings. She has a Masters degree in Nursing and has worked in healthcare and health informatics positions related to improving use of information in healthcare for over ten years. She is currently completing her doctorate degree in Management and Organization in Healthcare at the University of Toronto and is involved in numerous national and international projects in health informatics, with a focus on understanding the impact of information technology on healthcare work and information processing.
