Successfully engaged the missions of Costa Rica and Malta to support this effort. United Nations, lead in bringing about cease fire in Mexico small war between native peoples (Zapata) and government, recognized by then President of Mexico in writing United Nations NGO with ECOSOC accreditation at the time Inland, Wetlands and Watercourses Agency, Greenwich, Ct., alternate, member and chairman Public Service: I was invited to join the White House Fellowship/ Presidential Interchange Executive Program, (PIE), assigned to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Washington DC. This was a one-year Presidential appointment. My job was operational control of $60 million housing research contracts with respect to meeting legislative intent and accountability. When I returned to Greenwich, Connecticut after my Washington DC experience, I was motivated for public service, and then appointed to The Inlands, Wetlands and Watercourses Agency. First, I became an alternate member, then full member, and ultimately moved to the Chairman position of this land regulatory agency. During those two 4-year terms, I worked out many controversies among conflicting interests and became a community spokesman on land-use issues. This work was pro bono. Academic Experience: Completion of a doctorate in International Business took place after a career in engineering, management and corporate startups. This was a full time effort filled with course work and dissertation research, with pro bono work as a non-governmental representative to the United Nations. I joined the faculty of NSU where I taught graduate courses in: 21st Century Management best practices, Operations Management for services and manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business Statistics, quantitative decision making, Business Strategy. I taught weekends MBA classes, and taught in the online format under Blackboard. I resigned December 2016 to pursue non-teaching interests. Fortune 500 Experience: In my early career path I rose from a position in engineering for then Mobil Oil to VP and General Manager of an Information Technology subsidiary of American Can Company. Dispute Resolution: At the moment I am engaged in dispute resolution work as an arbitrator and mediator for FINRA Dispute Resolution Inc. I am Public/Neutral Arbitrator, qualified as panel- chair. Cases relate to customer issues, international bond pricing, suitability, common fraud, variable annuities, misrepresentation, wrongful dismissal, churning, Human Resource issues like alleged wrongful dismissal. This is a fee-based position and active throughout the year. For the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York, I am a public-neutral mediator; not currently active as I don’t live in New York. Serving at the United Nations as an accredited NGO, I mediated with other NGOs, an armed conflict that lead to an NGO –drafted General Assembly Resolution for the UN’s Fiftieth Anniversary. A/49/L.66, 19. As Chairman of the Inlands, Wetlands and Watercourses Agency in Greenwich, Connecticut, I resolved conflicts between citizens and the Town relative to property rights and environmental issues. In my faculty member capacity at Nova Southeastern University, I help mediate cases involving plagiarism and alleged racism, American Can Company appointed me Corporate Ombudsman, and the case load involved employment situation, substance abuse, corporate assistance program design, and conflict arising from working conditions. Entrepreneurial Experience: I recently co-founded a hybrid for-profit and public good Vermont L3C corporation to prevent insolvencies and bankruptcies for companies in supply chains, and municipalities. Corporate Solvency Stress Testing L3C is developing the technologies and the market for this service. I started On Line Research Inc. with a partner. The organization was started with personal funds and loans. Initially we were a computer service bureau selling time and on-line access to private- and re-aggregated government databases for the media research market. The company grew into more specialized application niches, such as providing a global online market for thoroughbred shares and breeding rights. In the software arena, we developed products for expatriate income taxation as print applications and later for the online format. The greatest revenue, unintended however, came from direct mail, were we processed credit card solicitations and maintained specialized mailing lists for foreign airline frequent flyer programs. The data base work experience led to the founding of a second company to pursue opportunities in commercial real estate, by establishing a market for Class-A commercial properties outside the New York City market. Both firms were sold to free time to earn my doctorate.
