Maria-Iuliana Dascalu

Dr. Maria-Iuliana Dascalu is a lecturer for semantic web technologies, systems engineering, management information systems, data structures and algorithms and programming languages within the Department of Engineering Taught in Foreign Languages at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania and a researcher in the field of applied computer science. She was also a postdoctoral fellow at the same university between May 2014-October 2015, researching on computer supported collaborative learning. She has a PhD degree in economic informatics, a master degree in project management, awarded by The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and she is an IPMA Certified Project Management Associate since 2008. Maria-Iuliana conducted an extensive research study at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 2010, she participated in 7 national or international research projects, she was a program committee member in more than 20 scientific conferences, she is a member of IEEE and IEEE Education Society and she was awarded 2 national research prizes for papers published in highly relevant journals (in 2014 and 2015), as well as an Elsevier Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing in 2015. Maria-Iuliana published 11 books and book chapters and more than 70 scientific papers.
