Sylvain Jaume
Professor Jaume, Director of the Data Science Institute, earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. His academic experience includes directing interdisciplinary graduate and undergraduate programs as well as research in big data visualization and artificial intelligence. While in industry, he developed large data analysis and medical imaging technologies used in hospitals. He is also the author of many research publications and area editor of the International Journal of Business Analytics. Building on his industry experience and his passion for developing students, he strongly values engagement with the business community, partnerships and student mentoring.
Dr. Jaume’s research interests include big data analytics, predictive modeling, real-time analytics and visualization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, statistics, business analytics, market analytics, health informatics, biomedical engineering, neurobiology and medical imaging.
