Zuobin Wang

Zuobin Wang received his BSc/MSc from Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, and PhD in Optical Engineering from the Centre for Microengineering and Nanotechnology of the University of Warwick (UK). Between May 1997 and June 2010, he was a research associate/senior research fellow and project manager of Cardiff University (UK), and as a participant or leader, involved in a number of EU projects (DELILA, HYDROMEL and IPMMAN). He is a Professor of Changchun University of Science and Technology, and the University of Bedfordshire (20%), the director of Centre for Nano Metrology and Manufacturing Technologies, Jilin Provincial International Science & Technology Cooperation Base for Nano Handling, Assembly & Manufacturing, and Changchun Science & Technology Innovation Centre for Nanomanufacturing. He is also the deputy director of the International Joint Research Center for Nanophotonics and Biophotonics (IJRCNB) with the Institute for Lasers, Photonics, and Biophotonics (USA), and the deputy director of the Joint Research Centre for Computer-Controlled Nanomanufacturing (JR3CN) with the University of Bedfordshire (UK). His research interest is in the areas of robotic nano handling and manufacturing, laser interference nanolithography and nanometrology. He is a founding and general chair of the International Conference on Manipulation, Manufacturing and Measurement on the Nanoscale (3M-NANO). He is currently leading a number of EU FP7 (ECNANOMAN, ECROBOT and BioRA) and national projects in robotics and applications in China.
