Fabrizia Mantovani

Dr. Fabrizia Mantovani is Associate Professor of General Psychology at the Department of Human Sciences for Education of the University of Milano - Bicocca. She a strong theoretical and experimental research background in new media psychology, with a focus on the analysis of cognitive and emotional aspects of user experience in interaction with new technologies (Virtual Reality environments and Serious Games in particular) She participated, as research team manager in five international research projects funded by the European Commission under the 5th, 6th and 7th Framework Programme: “VEPSY-UPDATED: Telemedicine and Portable Virtual Environments for Clinical Psychology”; “EMMA: Engaging Media for Mental Health Applications”; “I-LEARNING: Immersion/Imagery Enhanced Learning”; "MYSELF: Multimodal e-learning System based on Simulations, Role-Playing, Automatic Coaching and Voice Recognition Interaction for Affective Profiling”; “LUDUS: European Network for the Sharing and Dissemination of Technologies and Knowledge in the Innovative Field of Game-Based Learning” (Scientific Responsible for UNIMIB). She has published over 80 works in national and international scientific journals, volumes, and conference proceedings. Fabrizia Mantovani is a member of the Editorial Board of the international peer-reviewed scientific journals “Open Communication Journal” and “Annual Review of Cybertherapy and Telemedicine”. She is a member of the Scientific Committees of the international conferences “Cybertherapy”, “Presence”, “IADIS Multi-Conference on Computer Science
