Reviews and Testimonials

I would therefore strongly recommend this book to both those who have read Mumford before as a summative collection of her work, and to those who have not read her before, there are many lessons that can be learnt, from her varied experience, about how to undertake change initiatives. - Elayne Coakes, Westminster Business School, University of Westminster, UK More people than ever before use information technology in their day to day lives, and require the knowledge and skills to help them deal with this ever-expanding and rapidly-changing subject. Consequently, the topic of IT education now covers a vast range of issues, from basic literacy, through specialist courses and curriculum issues, to the use of IT as a facilitator in all types of teaching and learning. The book reflects this diversity of issues and provides an excellent coverage of the wide range of topics encompassed by IT education today, and the challenges that face the IT educator. It is an excellent guide to current issues in the IT education field. Teaching IT related subjects, and teaching with IT are both covered, with many sound practical examples and useful case studies. Any IT educator will find this book an invaluable and inspiring resource.
