Author's/Editor's Biography

Luis Sanchez-Barrios (Ed.)
Luis Javier Sanchez-Barrios is a lecturer and researcher in Finance, quantitative methods and credit scoring at Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla, Colombia). He leads the Finance Center at the Business School and has experience in leading projects involving Base of the Pyramid (BoP) segments in Latin America. His research interests include microfinance, wellbeing of BoP segments related with the use of formal and informal lending services, entrepreneurial finance and scoring methods for consumer credit for underserved segments. He has been a member and co-author of GEM (Global Entrepeneurship Monitor) Colombia reports and is an active member of the Entrepreneurship Center at Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla, Colombia).

Liyis Gomez-Nunez (Ed.)
Liyis Gomez-Nunez is a worldwide recognized authority on entrepreneurship. She holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Management from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (Spain), MBA from Universidad del Norte (Colombia) and BSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de la Guajira (Colombia). She is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and directs the Entrepreneurship Center at Universidad del Norte. She directs a project in collective entrepreneurship from Departamento Administrativo para la Prosperidad Social- DPS (Colombia). Other positions include: Member of the GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) Colombia, Manager of Doing Business Subnational Colombia 2013 of the World Bank Group and Leader of the V Global GEM Research Conference. She is an international lecturer and consultant on entrepreneurship and strategy for public and private entities such as: Alcaldía de Medellín, Universidad de Antioquia, Universidad de Cartagena, Colombian Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (Dominican Republic), Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre (Dominican Republic) and Maestra República Dominicana, among other Institutions.
