Umesh Pandey (Ed.)
Umesh Chandra Pandey has been associated with IGNOU for more than 27 years in various academic positions. He is currently working as Regional Director of IGNOU at Jabalpur, India. He was involved in some of the major collaborative ventures of IGNOU like Rajiv Gandhi Project for EduSat Supported Elementary Education (RGPEEE) during 2005-2006 and Gyan Vani Radio Station, Jabalpur during 2005-2008.He went on deputation to work as Director (Knowledge Management) in School of Good
Governance and Policy Analysis, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal in 2008 where he worked
till 2010. His research interests include the Open & Distance Learning and Sustainable Development.
Verlaxmi Indrakanti (Ed.)
Verlaxmi Indrakanti did her Ph.D. in the field of Women Education and has 29 years of teaching
experience at various levels. She is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of
Education, Anand Vihar College for Women Bhopal. She is involved in the implementation of distance
learning programmes of education in Indira Gandhi National Open University at Bhopal (India).
