Author's/Editor's Biography

David Bird
David Bird has worked at a senior level as a UK National Cyber Security Centre certificated cyber security consultant for the UK Government over the past decade and beyond; providing advice and guidance on various topics including cyber security architecture, review of system designs and system level implementations. He holds a Master's Degree in Computing for Commerce and Industry with the Open University; he has also been awarded a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 7 qualification in Engineering by the City and Guilds Institute as well as NQF Level 6 in Intelligence Management and Leadership and Management by the same institution. He is a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Analysts and Programmers, a Fellow of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, and a Member of the Institution of Engineering Technology. He has written many published articles in several reputable magazines over the years comprising topical technical and information security subject matter that includes: British Computer Society ITNoW and Digital Leaders editions, CyberTalk and the then Institute of Information Security Professionals Pulse Magazine. He has authored book chapters for the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators and for the Sustainable Intelligent Systems library printed by Springer. David has also published papers with IGI Global, Springer, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Xplore and Association of Computing Machinery Digital libraries. His work has culminated in a full book publication with IGI Global in 2020 entitled ‘Real-time and Retrospective Analyses of Cyber Security’.
