Testimonials and Reviews“Virtual communities and social networking groups have become very important, with the advent of ubiquitous and easy-to -use content creating software. Organizations are beginning to use these technologies for a variety of activities – from the use of SecondLife.com as a market research tool, to the use of social networking sites for collaborative content creation within the firm. What are the benefits of using these applications? What should organizations do to facilitate the use of these technologies towards specific firm objectives? Clearly, there are a number of important issues that need to be understood, in order that these technologies can be applied to, and their benefits harnessed for, a variety of functions and tasks. The International Journal of Virtual Communities and Social Networking is a much-needed forum for researchers and practitioners to address these important issues.”
