Abstract

This case describes the evolution and progress of the use of IT at one of the oldest manufacturers of industrial hydraulic cylinders and gears in India. It highlights the effects of internal and external factors on IT investment and the IT applications portfolio, and describes some managerial challenges in the implementation of IT.
