Beverly J. Buchanan
Beverly Buchanan
was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. Bev graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Gallaudet University (1986), a Master’s degree in Deaf Education (1994) from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, and a Master’s degree in Sign Language Education (2017) from Gallaudet University. Bev received a doctoral degree from the Department of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas (December 2021). Bev established Deaf Education without Borders, an international non-profit humanitarian organization focusing on the education of Deaf people worldwide. Bev is currently a faculty at the Department of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education, Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas.
