Claudia Mitchell
is a Distinguished James McGill Professor, McGill University where she is the Director of the Particpatory Cultures Lab, and an Honorary Professor in the School of Education, University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research addresses issues of social justice, participatory methodologies, girlhood studies and teacher education. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Girlhood Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal.
