Gert Jan Hofstede
Gert Jan Hofstede is an associate professor in information management at Wageningen University, Social Science Group, and a regular guest lecturer at many places, a.o. London School of Economics and ETH Zürich. He holds an MSc in biology and a doctorate in production planning, and teaches database design. Gert Jan started to use his father Geert’s work on national cultures in the mid-nineties to create simulation games, and has since become a well-known speaker, consultant, and author about cross-cultural communication. He is first author of Exploring Culture (2002), a book with practical exercises on cross-cultural communication, and co-author of Cultures and Organizations 2nd ed. (2005).
