V. Madhusudanan Pillai
currently holds the position of Professor within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India. With an extensive teaching career spanning over 30 years, he has amassed a wealth of expertise. He boasts a remarkable portfolio of more than 150 publications, encompassing both international journals and conferences. Notably, he has also taken on the role of editor for a book. His contributions extend to the creation of numerous laboratory exercises and software packages that revolve around the realms of manufacturing management and supply chain management. His research pursuits encompass an array of captivating areas. These areas include modelling of problems in supply chain operation simulation, cellular manufacturing systems, material requirements planning, scheduling, facility layout planning, inventory control, lean manufacturing, manpower planning – annualised hours, ergonomics, and machine learning and blockchain applications in supply chain management.
