Adenike Omotayo Okeya-Olayinka

Adenike Omotayo Okeya-Olayinka PhD is a lecturer in the Department of Broadcasting Information and Media Science, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Nigeria. She had her first degree from the Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) in Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State in 2012 emerging as the Best Graduating Student and was given the Lateef Jakande Award for the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Mass Communication. Thereafter, she was awarded the Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Mass Communication by the Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State in 2015. In 2018, she was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mass Communication with specialization in Broadcasting and Development Communication from the Babcock University where she got the Senior Vice President’s Award for being the Best Overall Graduating Student with the highest CGPA at the Doctor of Philosophy Level. Dr. Okeya-Olayinka has to her credits, scholarly publications in academic journals and associated scholarly outlets and has also attended learned conferences. She has a strong passion for research, teaching and community service. Her major areas of research include Broadcast Journalism, Film and Cinematography, Health Communication, Development Communication Studies and Media and Society. She is an active member of African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), International Literacy Association (ILA), Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON), International Association of Religion Journalists (IARJ’s) and Gender and African Studies Group (BUGAS).
