Alicia M. Cassels

Alicia Cassels has more than 15 years of experience in higher education, serving in faculty, principal investigator, and evaluator roles at West Virginia University, Virginia Tech, and Auburn University. She has secured nearly $8M in funding through ten competitive state and federal grants and directed educational programs for K-12 students, college students, and professional audiences across the U.S. Alicia is passionate about developing impactful learning programs and has received national awards for her work in curriculum and development. She is currently the assistant director at the Robert Morris Center for Innovative Teaching. She also teaches graduate and undergraduate communications and organizational leadership courses. In addition to completing her Ph.D. dissertation on the online assessment practices of RMU faculty, she holds an M.A. in clinical counseling and a B.A. in sociology.
