Areena Mahek
Areena Mahek
is a graduate student currently enrolled in Computer Science with the concentration on Data Science at DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois, USA, aspiring for a double master's degree. She completed her Bachelor's degree (B.E) in Information Technology from Muffakham College of Engineering and Technology, India and has a Master's (MTech) in Computer Science from Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, India. She has been awarded the Graduate Assistantship as a Tutor at DePaul where she provides tutoring assistance in the courses of Algorithms, Database Management, Python Programming, Data Science And R programming. She has been chosen to be a student ambassador, focusing on helping the new students in guiding them towards the process of adjusting to a new academic environment. She is an author of a research paper which is accepted for publication as Chapter10 in the book titled: Cyber-Physical Systems- Applications, Challenges, and Research Directions, in its forthcoming edition of Feb 2025. She has research experience in Data Science, Natural Language Processing, and was a part of a Machine Learning project that involved the use of Ensemble methods to improve the performance of individual models to analyze online consumer behavior at a shopping website.
