Arohi Anand
Arohi Anand
is an experienced economist and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Sarala Birla University in Ranchi since February 2021. She teaches a variety of courses in the Department of Economics, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Financial System, Mathematical Economics, and Statistics. Her expertise extends to teaching students in BA Economics, BCOM, BBA, and MBA programs. Prior to her current position, Dr. Anand held the position of Assistant Professor at St. Xavier's College in Patna from July 2014 to January 2021. In this role, she taught subjects such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Financial System, SageMath, and SPSS to students pursuing a Business Economics course. Before her academic appointments, Dr. Arohi Anand worked as a PGT Teacher at SDV Public School in Patna from March 2013 to April 2014. During this time, she taught Social Sciences and English to students. Dr. Anand's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics, which she completed in 2022 at Patna University. Her doctoral thesis, titled “Analyzing Financial Market Volatility (2000-2010): A Case Study of India,” demonstrates her expertise in the field. She also obtained her Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from Patna University in 2013, specializing in Monetary Economics at Magadh Mahila College in Patna. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Arohi Anand has made significant contributions to the field through her published works. She has authored several books, including “An Introduction to Applied Mathematics for Economics,” “Decisions that Changed India,” “Transforming Indian Economy,” “Economics for Managers,” “Principles of Business Economics,” and “The Tech Side of Money: An Introduction to the World of FinTech.” These publications have been released by renowned publishing houses such as Kindle Publishing, Notion Press, and Cogent Publishing, and they cover a wide range of economic topics. Dr. Anand has also contributed to scholarly journals, with notable papers such as “A Comparative Study of Select 'Beyond GDP' Measures” published in the IUJ Journal of Management (Volume 9, Issue 2, December 2021), “Review of Impact of Monetary Tightening” in the Journal of Advances and Scholarly Researches in Allied Education (Volume 16, Issue 6, May 2019), and “Poverty Alleviation through SHGs in Patna” in Explore, the Department of Economics Research Journal at Patna Women's College in 2011. With her extensive teaching experience, academic achievements, and valuable publications, Dr. Arohi Anand has established herself as a knowledgeable economist and dedicated educator in the field of economics.
