Estefânia Gonçalves Silva

Estefânia Gonçalves Silva completed PhD degree in Social Psychology by Universidade do Minho. She is Assistant Professor at ISMAI - Universidade da Maia (University of Maia), where she teaches in the course of Criminology, Psychology and the master’s in clinical forensic psychology - Intervention with Aggressors and Victims, and integrated member at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (CIEG) at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon, Portugal (ISCSP-ULisboa). She is Psychologist, with a specialization in Social, Justice and Community Psychology according to the Portuguese Psychologists Association and specialist recognized in Gender Equality, Gender Violence and Migrations by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG). She is a certified trainer for the Scientific Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education and author of several publications and oral communications in national and international courses and conferences. Her research is mainly focused on gender, migrations, gender violence, work-family-balance.Currently, she is the Principal Investigator of the project “Boomerang - Study on the perceptions of the economic impact of unequal sharing of unpaid work in the lives of immigrant women and men in Portugal”, financed by EEA - European Economic Area grants. The aim of the project is to characterize the perceptions of the economic impact of unequal sharing of unpaid work and divorce in the lives of immigrant women and men in Portugal.
