Imad Eldin Abdulhay

Imad Edin Abdelhaye holds a distinguished position as a Professor in the field of Commercial Law. His research interests span various aspects of commercial law, including maritime law, aviation law, multimodal transport, commercial companies, and banking operations. Dr. Abdelhaye earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from Aleppo University in Syria in 1987. He pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Maritime Law from the University of Nantes, France, in 1994. Later, he completed his Ph.D. in Commercial Maritime Law from the same university in 1997. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Abdelhaye has held teaching positions at Aleppo University in Syria, starting as a teaching assistant from 1988 to 1992. He then pursued his doctoral studies in France on a scholarship from the French government. Upon completion of his Ph.D., he continued his academic journey as an Assistant Professor at Aleppo University until 2006 when he was promoted to Associate Professor. Subsequently, he served as an Associate Professor at the College of Law, University of Ajman, UAE, from 2013 to 2015, and at the University of Sharjah, UAE, from 2015 onwards. Dr. Abdelhaye has received recognition for his scholarly contributions, including awards such as the University of Sharjah Encouragement Award for distinguished faculty members in scientific research and the College of Law Award for ranking first among faculty members in research productivity. Additionally, he has been honored for his academic excellence by the Aleppo University Teachers Syndicate.
