Jon Springer
Jon Springer
has a Masters of Teaching from the University of Virginia (2011) where his learning specialized in elementary education. His wife is a secondary school teacher of humanities, history, geography, and environmental science, at various international schools since 2014. Jon has been an at-home dad for their two autistic sons since January 2017. He has stayed active in the broader international school community by being: an assistant administrator for Facebook’s Teachers On The Move Internationally (2018 to 2020); being one of the 3 founders of the School Closure Group for Online Learning in February 2020 that went from 3 to 100,000 members in 22 days (today it is called Global Educator Collective) (2020); being active in the international parent community of parents of neurodivergent and disabled students attending international schools; starting a parent support group for parents of neurodivergent and disabled students at his children’s school that reached 100 members (December 2020 to present); attending and speaking at education conferences; being an Associate Director for SENIA International (2022 to present). Jon is among the 9 board members that launched the Parents Alliance for Inclusion in November 2023 as an international organization to advocate for better inclusion of neurodivergent and disabled students at international schools.
