Kgomotso Theledi

Kgomotso K. Theledi is currently teaching undergraduate students African Languages and Linguistics (Sotho language group) and supervising postgraduate students who are doing research in Language and Linguistics, sociolinguistic and South African Language Policy at the University of Witwatersrand in the Department of African Languages. Dr Theledi was head of the Department of Setswana at North - West University from 2017 to 2019. Dr Theledi was also Head of the Department of African Languages at the University of Witwatersrand in 2020 to 2022. Dr Theledi has produced 9 Honours degree students, 5 MAs degree students and 1 PhD. Ongoing supervision: 6 MAs and 4 PhDs in 2023. Reviewed articles for SAJAL in 2019 and 2020, Tydskrif vir Litterkunde Journal in 2022. Dr Theledi is currently, an editor of Frontiers in Communication Journal. Dr Theledi has presented papers locally and internationally: * Bicultural identities expressionism in hip-hop: The case of Motswako sub-genre at UNISA colloquium in 2022. *Language and Culture at Botswana University in 2018. * Practical issues of Translation: Structure of language in Diphosophoso at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University in 2022. * Language planning and Policy at BAALA conference (Vanderbiljpark) in 2023.
