Kyriaki Tasiou

Kyriaki Tasiou is a special education teacher and works for the last 14 years at a primary school in Kos. She holds a Master's degree on the topic: ''Gender and New Educational and Working Environments in the Information Society" of the Department of Sciences of Preschool Education and Educational Design-University of the Aegean and Master's degree with the title: "Education Sciences: Special Education and Education of People with Speech and Writing Difficulties'' of the Inter-University MSc of the EAP with the University of Thessaly. She has been trained in Greek Sign Language. She has been trained in Assessment & Diagnostic Tests for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ADOS,ADI-R) & in Early Detection of Autism Spectrum Disorders with the “PAIS” test. She has participated in several chapters in other scientific publications in Greek language. Her research interests lie in the fields of special education, students with special education needs and families raising a child with special education needs or other difficulties. She is a PhD candidate at the University of the Aegean. She is married and a mother of one daughter.
