Laura Boynton Hauerwas
Laura Boynton Hauerwas
is Elementary/Special Education professor at Providence College. Her scholarship and teaching focuses on language and literacy, particularly for multilingual students and those with disabilities. She is currently a principal investigator on a US Department of Education EIR grant examining the impact of school-wide implementation of SRSD, an evidence-based writing approach. Additionally, she is involved in the development of international experiences (abroad and virtual) for teachers. Her global work in teacher education has been recognized by the Longview Foundation – as a global education mentor and grant recipient.
