Thanos Touloupis

Thanos Touloupis is a Laboratory Teaching Staff (E.DI.P.) of “Educational Psychology” at the Department of Psychology of the University of Western Macedonia, as well as an adjunct faculty at the Hellenic Open University. He has graduated from the Department of Primary Education of the University of Thessaly, and followed Master’s, Doctoral and Postdoctoral studies at the Department of Psychology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research work focuses on the problematic internet use among students with and without special educational needs, and on social-emotional factors, which trigger or are triggered by problematic internet use affecting the educational process. Additionally, he is interested in school-family collaboration to prevent/address the above issues in the school community. He has many years of teaching experience in General and Special Primary Education while he has worked in Higher Education as a contractual Lecturer/Academic Scholar in Greek and Cypriot Institutions, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the fields of Educational and School Psychology. His scientific work has been published and presented in international and Greek scientific journals and conferences respectively.
