Tobi Yvette Russell

Tobi Russell received her Doctorate in Counselor Education from Oakland University, her Master of Science degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University and received a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Oakland University. Dr. Russell has a child and adolescent specialization, is a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor as well as a certified clinical supervisor in addictions in the state of Michigan. She is a board-certified expert in traumatic stress. She counsels individuals from age 7 and up dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, substance abuse, PTSD/trauma, self-injury, eating disorders, and childhood adjustment to stressors. Dr. Russell has worked in residential facilities, outpatient agencies and has owned her own private practice in Michigan since 2011. Dr. Russell is currently a fixed-term remote faculty at Central Michigan University in the Department of Counseling. She was a lecturer at Oakland University for 14 years and an adjunct professor at Baker College for 5 years. Dr. Russell is a member of the American Counseling Association. In her spare time, she enjoys arts and crafts, reading and spending time with family including her Maine Coon cat, Roxie.
