Manuel Mora (Ed.)
Manuel Mora is a full-time Professor in the Information Systems Department at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA), Mexico. Dr. Mora holds a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering (1984) and a M.Sc. in Computer Sciences (Artificial Intelligence area, 1989) from Monterrey Tech (ITESM), and an Eng.D. in Engineering (Systems Engineering area, 2003) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has published over 90 research papers in international top conferences, research books, and refereed journals listed in JCRs such as
IEEE-TSMC, European Journal of Operational Research, Int. Journal of Information Management, Engineering Management, Int. J. of Information Technology and Decision Making, Information Technology for Development, Int. J. in Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, and
Computer Standards & Interface. Dr. Mora is a senior member of ACM (since 2008), of IEEE SMC Society, of INCOSE, and of the Mexican National Research System at Level I, and serves in the ERB of several international journals indexed by Emergent Source Citation Index focused on decision-making support systems (DMSS) and IT services systems. Dr. Mora has co-edited also four international research books in the topics of DMSS, IT services and Research Methods for prestigious academic publishers like Springer and IGI.
Guisseppi Forgionne (Ed.)
Guisseppi A. Forgionne is a professor of Information Systems at the University of Maryland - Baltimore County (UMBC). He holds a BS degree in commerce and finance from Wilkes University, a MBA from the University of Scranton, and a MA and PhD in economics from the University of California (Riverside, USA). Forgionne has also been a fulbright professor in marketing science at Helsinksi School of Economics and Business (Helsinki, Finland). He has published twenty-six books and approximately 200 research articles, consulted for a variety of public and private organizations, and received several national and international awards for his work.
Jatinder Gupta (Ed.)
Jatinder (Jeet) N. D. Gupta is currently eminent scholar of management of technology, professor of management
information systems, industrial and systems engineering and engineering management at The University of
Alabama in Huntsville, Huntsville, Alabama. Most recently, he was professor of management, information and
communication sciences, and industry and technology at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. He holds a PhD
in industrial engineering (with specialization in production management and information systems) from Texas
Tech University. Co-author of a textbook in Operations Research, Dr. Gupta serves on the editorial boards of
several national and international journals. Recipient of the Outstanding Faculty and Outstanding Researcher
awards from Ball State University, he has published numerous papers in such journals as Journal of Management
Information Systems, International Journal of Information Management, Operations Research, INFORMS
Journal of Computing, Annals of Operations Research, and Mathematics of Operations Research. More recently,
he served as a co-editor of several special issues including the Neural Networks in Business of Computers and
Operations Research, Semiconductor Wafer Production, special issue of Production Planning and Control,
and Design, Building and Evaluation of Intelligent Decision Making Support Systems: Special Issue of Journal
of Decision Systems. He co-edited books that included Decision Making Support Systems: Achievements and
Challenges for the New Decade and Creating Knowledge-based Healthcare Organizations published by Idea
Group Publishing. He is also the coeditor of the book: Managing E-Business published by Heidelberg Press,
Heidelberg, Australia and the book: Intelligent Decision-making Support Systems, published by Springer. His
current research interests include information security, e-commerce, supply chain management, information
and decision technologies, scheduling, planning and control, organizational learning and effectiveness, systems
education, knowledge management, and enterprise integration. Dr. Gupta has held elected and appointed positions
in several academic and professional societies including the Association for Information Systems, Production and
Operations Management Society (POMS), the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and the Information Resources
Management Association (IRMA).
