Aaron Suomala Folkerds
is an assistant professor of graduate counseling at Minnesota State University-Moorhead and the chaplain/wellness coordinator at the Moorhead Police Department in Moorhead, MN. He has a Master of Divinity Degree (M.Div) from The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC), a Master of science degree (MS) in mental health counseling and a doctoral degree (Ed.D.) in counselor education and supervision from MN State University-Mankato. He is an ordained Lutheran pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in MN (LMFT).
