Aizan Yaacob

Aizan Yaacob obtained her PhD in English Language Teaching (ELT) and Applied Linguistics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. She gained her Master of Arts in Language Studies from the University of Lancaster, United Kingdom and her Bachelor of Education with a double major in TESL and English Literature from the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her areas of specialization include ELT, Applied Linguistics, Bilingualism, Teaching English to Young Learners, and qualitative research. Associate Professor Dr Aizan Yaacob did her post-doctoral study at the University of Warwick in 2007 and became a visiting scholar at Higher Education Department Centre, Otago University, New Zealand and International Islamic University Malaysia in 2017- 2018 in the areas of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and English Language Teaching (ELT) respectively. She was the module writer for AKEPT SoTL and university trainer for SoTL. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief for Practitioner Research. She has published widely in national and international journals in her field.
