Alexey Vinel

Alexey Vinel received the B.S. (Hons.) and M.S. (Hons.) degrees in information systems from Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, St.-Petersburg, Russia, in 2003 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. (candidate of science) degree in technical sciences from the Institute for Information Transmission Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, in 2007. He is currently a Researcher with the Department of Communications Engineering, Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland. He has published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed international journals (including ones, which are top-rated in telecommunications, such as IEEE JSAC, IEEE TVT, etc.) and conference proceedings. His research interests include multiple-access protocols and intelligent transportation systems. He has been a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation since 2008 and a member of organizing and technical committees of many international conferences. He has been a Senior Member of IEEE and Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters since 2012.
