Altagracia Montilla
Altagracia Montilla
is a facilitator, strategist, and organizer whose work is deeply rooted in new world building, founded on the belief that the conditions for a liberated future start with each of us. Altagracia marries her perspectives as a queer, women of color, with her experiences in education, research, community organizing, and change management to design holistic strategies that decolonizes the collective-spaces, promotes justice, and inspires, connects, and heals communities. Altagracia is known for her dynamic and original facilitation style and her unique frameworks and methodologies. In the last decade, Altagracia supported dozens of education and nonprofit institutions to advance racial justice and hundreds of organizers center their practice in community care. Altagracia founded A.M. Consulting, a community of practitioners transforming organizations across the country and Freedom Readers, a virtual book club connecting social justice folks across the globe. Altagracia is the Board Chair of the arts education organization, Sparkhouse and the DEI & Antiracism Coalition Leader of the political and economic advocacy organization, Devotion USA.
