Catherine Saunders

Catherine C. Saunders is a recent graduate of Howard University where she earned her PhD in English with a specialty in African American literature. Her scholarship focuses on Black interiority and her theoretical framework strives to contemplate Black people and Black culture beyond resistance and response. In the fall, she will join the faculty at Bates College as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Africana.
