Célia M. Q. Ramos

Célia M. Q. Ramos is graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Coimbra, obtained her Master in Electrical and Computers Engineering from the Higher Technical Institute, Lisbon University, and the PhD in Econometrics in the University of the Algarve (UALG), Faculty of Economics, Portugal. Holds a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin, Ireland. She is Coordinator Professor at School for Management, Hospitality and Tourism, also in the UALG, where she lectures computer science, mainly Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Information Systems for Management Support Decision. Currently, Celia was President of the Pedagogical Council, since 2017 until 2021, Director of the degree in Marketing and member of the coordination of the master's degree in Hospitality Management, from September 2015 to October 2019, of the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism. Areas of research and special interest include conception and development of information systems, tourism information systems, big data, business intelligence, electronic tourism, websites evaluation, marketing digital, econometric modeling and panel-data models. Célia Ramos has published in the fields of information systems, marketing and tourism, namely, she has authored a book, book chapters, conference papers and journal articles. She is reviewer of several scientific journals. At the level of applied research, she has participated in several funded projects, such as: Mobile Five Senses Augmented Reality System for Museums (M5SAR) project funded by Portugal2020, CRESC Algarve 2020 I&DT (nº 3322); SRM: Smart Revenue Management, QREN I&DT, n.º 38962; FootData: Integrated information system for football, QREN I&DT, n.º 23119; and IMPACTUR: Indicators for the Monitoring and Forecast of Tourism Activity, protocol with the Portuguese Tourism Institute.
