Corinne W. Bridges
, LPC, BC-TMH, NCC, AAT-I is a full-time core faculty member of the Counselor Education and Supervision PhD program at Walden University and a contributing faculty member at Buena Vista University. As a faculty member and dissertation chair, Dr. Bridges emphasizes the need for collaboration and mutual respect to explore cultural awareness with students while modeling empathy and reflection of intersecting identities. In January of 2020, she was the recipient of the Walden University Faculty Excellence Award which honors faculty that exemplify the values of quality, integrity, and student centeredness and in 2019 and 2020 the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty certificate from Southern New Hampshire University which recognizes instructors who exceed expectations in personal, intellectual, and instructor presence in the classroom. Dr. Bridges has experience presenting and publishing both qualitative and quantitative work relative to her research interests which include ecological and rural counseling; multicultural and LGBTQ counseling; online education, gender, and relationship building. Additionally, Dr. Bridges serves as an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Counseling Sexology and Sexual Wellness: Research, Practice, and Education and for the Journal of Counselor Preparation and Supervision NARACES, as well as for Adoption Quarterly.
