Damaris Auma Ochanda
Damaris Ochanda
is the current Chairperson, Department of Nursing Research, Education and Management in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedical Sciences of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Kenya. She holds Bsc (Nursing) from University of Nairobi, Hons. BA (Health Studies) from University of South Africa (UNISA), MA (Health Studies) from UNISA and a doctorate in Public Health from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology. She is a registered nurse with over 8 years clinical nursing experience and 15 years in teaching of nursing programmes in higher education for both undergraduate and postgraduate. Her research interests include, public health nursing and research. She has published several articles in peer reviewed journals and has participated in collaborative research focusing in solutions that address public health problems including mental health.
