Daniel Blackshields
lectures at the Department of Economics in University College, Cork. I am also the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning in UCC Teaching Fellow for Reflective Practice. I have presented and published on teaching for understanding, integrative learning, reflection, arts-based learning and creativity. I have won the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and President’s Award for Research on Innovative Forms of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. With colleagues from UCC Career Service we won the Association of Higher Education Careers Services Excellence in Employability Award. I have been nominated for a UCC Staff Recognition Award: Enhancing the Student Experience; NAIRTL National Excellence in Teaching Award; National Teaching Experts: learning Impact Award from the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and (with colleagues from UCC Career Service) nominated for the Irish Education Awards – Best Career Impact Strategy.
