Darina M. Slattery
Darina M. Slattery
is an Associate Professor at the University of Limerick (UL), where she specializes in e-learning and instructional design. Since the start of 2021, Darina has been serving in leadership roles for the UL Learning Management System (LMS) Implementation Project. Darina won the UL Teaching Award for Excellence in the Provision of Pedagogical Support in 2019 and the STC’s Frank R. Smith Award for Outstanding Journal Article (with A. Cudmore) in 2020. Darina served as President of the IEEE Professional Communication Society (ProComm) from 2021-2022 and in 2023, she was awarded the Emily K. Schlesinger Award for Outstanding Service to the IEEE Professional Communication Society. She is an alumna of MIT's Professional Education programme on Leadership & Innovation and an alumna of the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL).
