Dimitris Tsolkas
Dimitris Tsolkas
leads activities related to research and development at FOGUS Innovations & Services P.C and currently he is responsible for network functions optimization as well as end-to-end network emulation and testing. Dimitris received a Ph.D degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2014. Since then, he has worked as senior research fellow at the department of Informatics and Telecommunications of NKUA and he has also served as PostDoc Marie Curie Fellow in MSCA RISE and ITN projects. He has long experience in ICT EU funded projects (e.g., EVOLVED-5G, 5GENESIS, and 5G-Monarch), serving as key technical person in some of them (e.g., EVOLVED5G and 5GENESIS). In the framework of ICT projects, he has participated in the 5GPPP Technical Board (TB) and 5GPPP/5GIA Working Groups (WGs), having contributed to key initiatives and white papers. In addition, Dimitris has published more than 50 papers in high quality journals, books, and conferences. His current research interests include systems and protocols for wireless/mobile communication, radio access networks design and analysis, and user experience management.
