Ekaterina Koubek

Ekaterina Koubek holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition/Foreign Language Education from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. She is a professor and TESOL coordinator at James Madison University. Her research interests focus on preservice teacher attitudes and beliefs, the use of action research in teacher education, high-impact practices and student engagement, and culturally responsive and sustaining practices. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in TESOL programs at JMU. She is a teacher education SIG leader at VATESOL and is part of the Standards Professional Council at the TESOL International Association.
