Eleni N. Nikolaou

Eleni Nikolaou is an Assistant Professor (tenured) at the department of Sciences of Preschool Education and Educational Design, University of the Aegean. She has been teaching at the University of the Aegean, as an adjunct lecturer, since 2002 and as an elected lecturer since 2014. In addition to her teaching duties at the undergraduate level, she also teaches in the Postgraduate Programs of “Environmental Education”, as well as in the “Models of Educational Planning and Development” of T.E.P.A.E.S of the University of the Aegean. She has worked for almost fifteen consecutive years in a counseling and mental health service for children, adolescents and their families in Rhodes, Greece. During her career she has given a lot of lectures in schools regarding mental health issues and she has been participated in professional development training courses for teachers. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Preschool Education and Educational Design, University of the Aegean (2005). She completed her postgraduate studies at City University, London (M.Sc. in Counseling Psychology, 1999). She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Crete (1996). Her articles have been published in reputable scientific peer reviewed journals and Conferences, both nationally (in Greek) and internationally (in English language).
