Elia Gironacci
Elia Gironacci
is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering, University of Warwick. He is the Director of Studies for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Stream, looking after ‘traditional’ undergraduate degrees and undergraduate Degree Apprenticeship. After achieving both his BSc (2010) and MSc (2013) in Italy in the field of Construction and Design of Earthquake Resilient Structures, in 2018 he obtained his PhD from the University of Warwick in the fields of Fracture Mechanics, Computational Mechanics and Stochastic Modelling. His work and practice are primarily focused on students engagement and widening participation for students with varied backgrounds, with particular focus on Degree Apprenticeship programmes.
