Fitri Utami Ningrum

Fitri Ningrum is an Indonesian cultural activist and researcher who focuses on assisting the community to develop and promote tourism potential in rural areas through Pesona Desa Indonesia. She studied Bachelor degree in Marketing Management from University of Indonesia. As an expert of Indonesian traditional dance, she has keen interest to develop cultural tourism in rural areas. She was involved in research activities dealing with microfinance for community empowerment as well as teaching activities in rural or remote areas. With the experiences gained from the community empowerment activities, she creates some coaching initiatives for tour operators focusing on history and culture. In the last 3 years, she supports Ministry of Rural Regions and Villages to provide training and mentoring for communities and villages that are elected to receive program assistance by the Ministry. She also develops research on Strategies for Increasing the Number of Visitors to Cultural Attractions using Service Quality variables for cultural heritage products (Histoqual).
