Harriet Able

Harriet Able is a professor of special education and early childhood in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research has focused on family centered practices for children and youth with autism and other disabilities. She is a strong advocate for interdisciplinary education initiatives in higher education at the undergraduate and graduate levels and has received numerous grants from the U.S. Office of Education to prepare interdisciplinary practitioners for working with children and youth with disabilities.
