Isabel María García

Isabel María Garcia Conesa has a degree in English Studies from the University of Alicante and a PhD from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). She is currently working as a full time lecturer at the Centro Universitario de la Defensa in San Javier (Spain). She has been awarded a scholarship by the Franklin Institute (University of Alcala de Henares, Spain) and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study (Harvard University, USA), where she conducted a pre-doctoral research stay in the year 2012. Among her main lines of research, we can highlight the role of different women in literature and culture of the United States in contrast to Francophone writers with publication in Spanish journals like Revista Estudios Humanísticos (University of León), Tonos Digital (University of Murcia), Dossiers Feministes (University Jaime I), Prisma Social, Raudem (University of Almeria), Camino Real (University of Alcala de Henres), or Nomadas (University Complutense of Madrid). She also focuses on the study of the history of the teaching of English and gender studies with publications in journals such as Revista Feminismo (University of Alicante) or even Quaderns Digitals.
