Joaquim Dias Soeiro
Joaquim Dias Soeiro
experienced diverse positions within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management, Taylor’s University since 2007. Employed as F&B and Wine Studies lecturer, he occupied the position of Programme Director, Associate Dean for Learning and Quality, and Head of Operations and Professional Studies before handling his role as Head of School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events. With more than 1400 students and close to 40 staff, his roles aim to ensure learning excellence, high ranked publications, internationalization experiences and partnerships as well as industry connection relevancies. Being a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommelier and holding a WSET wine certification advance level, Dr. Joaquim has conducted wine related trainings and workshops across Malaysia. He also delivers the Wine & Spirits Education Trust of London (WSET) programme under the school, since 2008. As well, he is a Train The Trainer (TTT) certified, Certified in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) and Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) by the American Hospitality Lodging and Education Institute which enable him to conduct trainings in Malaysia.
